LECOM: A Nutrition Curriculum Landing Page Built for the White House

LECOM at Elmira Dean Richard Terry discussing the expanded nutrition curriculum during a video interview

Some projects come with a deadline. This one came with a deadline and an audience at the White House.

The challenge

LECOM — the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine — is expanding its nutrition curriculum to 60 hours starting in Fall 2026. That’s well past the 40-hour benchmark HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has called on U.S. medical schools to meet.

LECOM needed a landing page that told that story clearly, and would hold up when it was presented at the White House.

There was a lot to cover:

  • Where things stood: 18 to 30 hours of nutrition, integrated into the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pathways.
  • Where they’re going: 60 hours of in-depth nutrition education — a net increase of 42 hours.
  • How it’s woven in: threaded across every learning pathway, including Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) and History and Physical (H&P) examinations.
  • How students are assessed: lectures, hands-on learning, clinical competencies and Observed Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) that put food-as-medicine principles into patient care.

What we did

A fully custom landing page, built from scratch.

Chart modules that make the before-and-after impossible to miss.

Embedded video of Dean Richard Terry of LECOM at Elmira walking through the curriculum — produced locally by our crew.

What happened

LECOM had a clean, credible page ready for one of the biggest stages there is. It’s live at lecom.edu.

Why it matters

More than 50 medical schools are answering the national call for more nutrition education, and the national licensing boards have committed to adding more nutrition science to their exams. Every school has an announcement.

Not every school has a page that makes the numbers land in ten seconds. Data, video and design in one place — that’s how a curriculum update becomes a story people actually understand.

Got a big announcement coming? We build the landing page and produce the video that goes on it. Let’s talk.
